TOPEKA, Kan. — The Kansas Department of Transportation announced on Monday approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects. The letting took place Aug. 21, 2024, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.
The Hutch Post area projects announced include:
Kingman County‑ 48 C‑5230‑01 – Bridge, located 3.4 miles north and 2.4 miles east of Murdock over unnamed tributary to Smoots Creek, bridge replacement, 0.1 mile, King Construction Company Inc. & Subsidiaries, Hesston, Kansas, $433,050.70.
Pratt County ‑ 281‑76 KA‑6895‑01 – U.S. 281, pavement restoration from 10th Street to 8th Street in Pratt, grading and surfacing, 0.2 mile, Morgan Brothers Construction, Inc., Lacrosse, Kansas, $510,578.79.
