Ray C. Hainlen |1952-2021|

Ray C. Hainlen passed away at 69 yrs. old on Dec. 26th, 2021 in Wichita, Ks. surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Ralston, Okla. On Aug. 16th, 1952 to parents Betty Cowan Hainlen-Dugan and Marlon Ray Hainlen. He was a loving husband, a good dad and an amazing grandpa.

Ray attended Derby High School in Derby. He then went on to graduate from The Hutchinson Police Academy. He served as a Wichita Police Officer from 1976 to 1996. He worked with his work partner and lifelong friend Mario Martinez for the WPD. He then retired to spend more time with his wife Cheryl, whom he cherished. Ray and Cheryl married on May 16, 1985 and were married for almost 37 yrs. Together they had 4 boys. Ray enjoyed time with their grandkids most of all but Ray also enjoyed fishing, hitting a casino, working in the garage and was a proud member of the F.O.P.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Hainlen-Dugan and Marlon Hainlen, sister Nina Quam, father-in-law Curtis Stotts and dear friend Shirley West.

Survived by his wife Cheryl Hainlen; sons, Daryl (Anne) Hainlen, Jake (Miriam) Hanes, Nate Hanes, Eric Hanes, Shambley Rainey; grandkids, Darien Hainlen, Lucy, Knox and Nyla Hanes, Jaxon and Zander Hanes, Ella Hanes, Felicia (Andrew) Wiesing, Myles (Taylor) Carter; brothers Goerge (DeAnn) Hainlen, Bill Hainlen, Timothy Dugan and brother-in-law Earl Quam, brother-in-law Mike (Laura) Stotts and mother-in-law Joanne Kinney; along with many nieces, nephews family and friends. He was loved.

There will be a private family service held later this month.
