HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Clinic was one of only six Kansas ambulatory surgery centers to make Newsweek's list of America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers for 2023.
Only about the top ten percent of the nation's over 5000 surgery centers made the list. Newsweek creates this list to help patients feel confident in their choice of a facility for outpatient surgery. Newsweek’s list has strict criteria for nomination including medical professional review and careful analysis of the facility’s performance data.
The HASC opened in April of 2002 and is located on the 2101 N. Waldron Main Campus. Ambulatory Surgery Centers are designed for patients who do not require inpatient care. This allows patients to have their procedure completed and be released home the same day.
