
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Teachers in Hutchinson USD 308 are voting today on a new contract for the school year.
Both negotiating teams agreed on the new numbers and the faculty is voting to ratify the contract. If approved, the contract will go before the board for their vote on Monday.
The new contract calls for a 2.5% increase in base salary and additional increase in step pay. It also increase pay for substitute teaching and moves extra duty assignments to the classified employee handbook and provides updated fees for such work as concession stand work, work at track meets and taking and selling tickets to extracurricular events.
The USD 308 Board will meet Monday at 6 p.m. at the Hutchinson C-TEA building.
