OTTAWA COUNTY—A Hutchinson woman was injured in an accident just after 10 p.m. Sunday in Ottawa County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Dodge Ram driven by Brian L. Bogard, Henryetta, Oklahoma, was northbound on U.S. 81 one half mile south of Kansas 18.
The pickup lost the right rear tire. The tire crossed the northbound passing lane, median, and southbound passing lane and struck a southbound 2021 Chevy Blazer driven by 70-year-old Larry R. Wagner of Hutchinson.
EMS transported a passenger in the Chevy identified as 64-year-old Charlotte M. Wagner of Hutchinson to Salina Regional Medical Center. Bogard and Larry Wagner were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
