The NFL released its Week 18 schedule on Sunday night for Saturday, Jan. 4, and Sunday, Jan. 5, and the regular season will come to a close in Detroit.
The Minnesota Vikings (14-2) and Detroit Lions (13-2) will square off for the NFC North title and the conference's No. 1 seed in the playoffs on Sunday Night Football.
Week 18 action kicks off with a Saturday doubleheader, however, which features the Cleveland Browns (3-13) facing the Baltimore Ravens (11-5) at 4:30 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC, and the Cincinnati Bengals (8-8) at the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6) at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC.
As for the Chiefs, they will play the Broncos at 3:25 p.m. on Sunday, January 5.
The game will take place at the same time as the Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets. The Dolphins can make the playoffs with a win coupled with a Broncos loss. The Chiefs are 8-point underdogs in the matchup and expected to sit multiple notable starters.
The other game that could be affected by the Chiefs’ outcome is the Bengals and Steelers. With a win and a loss by Denver and Miami, the Bengals would be the AFC’s No. 7 seed.
The Chiefs already hold the AFC’s No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the playoffs.
