HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The City of Hutchinson is encouraging residents to roll up their sleeves later this month as part of its annual City-Wide Clean-Up Days, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26.

The community-wide effort is designed to give residents an opportunity to dispose of unwanted items, clean up properties, and assist neighbors, all while improving the overall appearance of the city.

City officials say the event is intended to promote civic pride and collective action, noting that even small efforts — from cleaning out garages to yard work — can have a noticeable impact when multiplied across the community.

To support the initiative, dumpsters will be placed at multiple locations throughout Hutchinson and will be available free of charge for residents during the two-day event.

Dumpster locations include:

  1. Kisiwa Parkway & Walnut Street
  2. Avenue F & Chestnut Street
  3. 15th Avenue & Van Buren Street
  4. Sherman & Madison Street
  5. 1st Avenue & Plum Street
  6. Bigger & Walnut Street
  7. Avenue B & Reformatory
  8. Avenue A & Van Buren Street
  9. 1800 block of Carey Boulevard
  10. 1st Avenue & Grandview
  11. 4th Avenue & Fontron
  12. East Sports Arena parking lot
  13. Fairground Water Park (Severance)
  14. 30th Terrace, west of Garden Grove Parkway

Residents are encouraged to use the site most convenient to them and to take advantage of the opportunity to declutter and improve their neighborhoods.

City leaders emphasize that the clean-up weekend reflects a shared commitment to maintaining Hutchinson’s quality of life.

“This is one of those weekends where you can actually see the impact of people working together,” the city noted in its announcement. “One weekend. One community.”
