Mary Jane Catlin  |1928-2022|

Mary Jane Catlin, 94, of Medicine Lodge, died Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.

She was born on February 3, 1928 in Elm Mills Township, Barber County, the daughter of Chris Frederick Haas and Katie Elizabeth (McBeth) Haas. On May 17, 1946, Mary Jane married George E. Catlin, Sr. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1995.

Mary Jane was a graduate of Sharon High School. She was a farmer/rancher and housewife.

Surviving are two sons, George E. Catlin, Jr., of Medicine Lodge, and Gary L. (Becky M.) Catlin of Council Grove; one daughter, Kathy (Chuck) Lane of Hays; Six grandchildren, Steve (Becky) Catlin, Lori (Justin) Bailey, Katie (Ryan) Moss, Cody Catlin, Shauna (Chris) Braun, and Jeremy (Carrie) Lane; Eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren;

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five siblings, Gertrude Haas, Fredric Lee Haas, Louise (Haas) Mandevill, Wilbert Charles Haas, and Annabelle (Haas) Shelite, and a daughter-in-law, Becky Catlin.

Friends may sign the register book on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, 67104 and on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, KS from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, with Pastor Tom Walters officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge. Masks and social distancing are encouraged.
