Et Cetera Shop

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Forty-six years ago this fall a seed began germinating in a Sunday School class at First Mennonite Church in Hutchinson. Contact was made with other Mennonite churches in the area and within 3 months a new mission store—The Et Cetera Shop—opened on the corner of 3rd and Main Street.

That mission to support MCC—Mennonite Central Committee, third world artisans and more recently, local nonprofits, continues to this day as the Et Cetera Shop is celebrating 46 years on Main Street this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at its current location at 22 North Main Street by offering a 46% discount to shoppers.

The Et Cetera Shop continues to provide, as their mission statement says, a service to our neighbors in the name of Christ by providing a place to donate, and retail quality merchandise at reasonable prices while maintaining eco-friendly practices storewide.

An extension to Et Cetera, Builders Bargains & Medical Bargains, located at 329 West 5th Street, will also be open this Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon with a store wide 50% sale on Builders’ items that includes plumbing, electrical, furniture and building supplies.
