HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Gas prices haven't changed much in the last week, according to Shawn Steward with AAA Kansas.
"Reno County, the average there is $2.91 a gallon," Steward said. "That's a couple cents cheaper than the state average."
A slight drop in demand has helped hold prices where they are and it could very easily continue.
"After we get past Labor Day and demand typically declines as we head to fall and winter," Steward said. "We should see a reduction in the prices we see at the pump."
The supply side of the equation is where uncertainty still lies, with geopolitical and weather concerns that could change supplies going forward.
