The 2025 Callery Pear Buyback Event is scheduled for the morning of Oct. 4 in Manhattan, with exact time and location details to be released next month when sign-ups open.

Organizers expect the limited number of available replacement trees to go quickly. Participants will be required to provide proof of Callery pear tree removal, either through before-and-after photos or a bill from an arborist specifying the removed species. Those unable to supply proof will be ineligible for the program.

The fall event will have a restricted supply of trees, with each household eligible for only one replacement tree. Additional buyback opportunities are planned for spring 2026. Residents who cannot sign up this fall are encouraged to watch future newsletters for updates on upcoming events.
