WICHITA, Kan. — Southwest Airlines will begin offering nonstop flights between Wichita and Nashville, Tennessee, next spring, Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport announced Thursday.

The new service between Wichita and Nashville International Airport is scheduled to begin in March 2027. Tickets are already available through Southwest Airlines.

Airport officials said the route will connect Wichita travelers with one of the nation’s fastest-growing business and leisure destinations while also providing additional connections through Southwest’s network.

“Nashville nonstop service strengthens Wichita’s air service portfolio, provides more travel options for our passengers, and creates new opportunities for business, tourism, and family travel,” Wichita Director of Airports Jesse R. Romo said. “We appreciate Southwest Airlines’ continued investment in the Wichita market.”

The Wichita route is part of Southwest’s largest spring schedule ever at Nashville International Airport. The airline also plans to launch new nonstop service from Nashville to St. Thomas and Aruba in March.

“Southwest is continuing recent investments in its points of strength,” an airline spokesperson said. “Each day of the week features an increase in daily flights compared to the March 2026 schedule.”

Southwest also plans to increase service from Nashville to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, because of continued traveler demand.

Additional information about flights from Wichita is available through the airport’s website.
