
Tim Edward Nachtigal, 64, died September 8, 2020, at Hospice House, with his two sisters by his side. He was born March 17, 1956, in Hutchinson, to Robert and Agnes Darlene (Revel) Nachtigal.
Tim graduated from Hutchinson High School, where he swam on the swim team. For the past 30 years, he had been a quadriplegic. Tim embraced his new way of life, and never felt sorry for the way his life changed. He learned to paint while holding the paint brush in his teeth. Anyone who knew Tim, for the past 30 years, was inspired by his strength, wisdom, and positive outlook on life. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson.
Tim is survived by siblings, Rob Nachtigal, Mike Nachtigal, both of Palmetto, FL, Nancy Krause (Steve) of Manhattan, and Kathy Bruntzel of Sterling; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, at Church of the Holy Cross, 2631 Independence Road, Hutchinson, with Father Aaron Spexarth officiating. Burial will follow in Lyons Municipal Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hutchinson Art Center, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
