
SEDGWICK COUNTY —A registered Kansas drug offender is going to prison for the repeated sexual assault of an underage girl.
District Judge Tyler Roush sentenced 40-year old Bryce Hanks to life in prison without the possibility of parole until after 25 years and 570 months which will run consecutive to the life sentence.
In February, Hanks pled guilty to ten crimes including rape, aggravated indecent liberties with a child, and aggravated criminal sodomy.
Hanks began sexually assaulting the girl when she was nine years old, according to the district attorney's office. The victim is now 18.
Hanks has been a registered offender since May of 2010 for drug crimes, according to the KBI offender registry.
