Bud Patterson, age 74, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 from a short battle with cancer. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Horace “Pat” Patterson and Mary Sophie (Marinik) Patterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Sharon Patterson. Bud is survived by his siblings, Terry (Steve) Torres of Wichita, Kansas, Marilyn Patterson of Valley Center, Kansas, and Ricky (Audrey) Patterson of Cherryvale, Kansas; by his daughters, Mindy (Clayton) McPheeters of Wichita and Melanie (Mike) Kelley of Rogers, Arkansas. He very much enjoyed time with his grandchildren.
Bud had a 40-year career prior to his retirement as a mechanic at Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems. He had previously served the Valley Center Community as an EMS driver, City Council member and member of Jaycees club. His fondest memories were of his time as Valley Center’s Santa Clause whether on his sleigh or at Leekers, and spending Fall Festival with his grandchildren and other family members.

Graveside Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 22, 2021 at Valley Center Memorial Cemetery, Valley Center, Kansas.
