GREAT BEND, Kan. — No. 15 Hutchinson (4-2) built a 16-point lead just 51 seconds into the second half before NOC-Enid (5-2) went on a run.

The Dragons jumped out to a 38-24 lead on the Jets at halftime behind 14 Isaiah Jackson points.

Jackson finished with 19 points on 9-of-11 shooting, but the Dragons had trouble finding the distance from deep.

Mikhail Abdul-Hamid entered the day with back-to-back games of five-made three-pointers. He went just 1-of-8 against NOC-Enid and scored four points.

The Dragons were 9.1% (2-for-22) from beyond the arc.

Meanwhile, the Jets were 9-of-29 (31%) from downtown.

Jordan England led the Jets with 40 points and 11 rebounds on 5-of-8 shooting from three.

Oryne Stewart was the only other Jet to score in double figures with 15.

NOC-Enid cut the Dragon lead to seven with 10:53 to play.

A 5-0 burst and a 10-0 run by the Jets during a four-minute stretch late in the second half put NOC-Enid on top after cutting the Dragon lead to 10 on two separate occasions early in the final frame.

A Stewart three with 7:43 left cut the Dragon lead to 52-50. Thirty-four seconds later, England hit a triple to put NOC-Enid up one.

The Jets ran that lead up to 11 with 3:42 left before the Dragons cut the lead to four with 35 seconds remaining.

Quez Thornton had a chance to cut it to three, but missed his second of two free throws.

A case of "too little, too late," Bo Aldridge hit a three with three seconds remaining before England iced the game at the line.

Three Dragons — Jackson (19), Aldridge (14) and DJ Dudley (12) — scored in double figures.

FINAL: NOC-Enid 75 Hutchinson 69

The Jets outscored the Dragons by 20 in the second half.

Hutchinson returns to Great Bend Nov. 20 to open conference play against No. 2 Barton (4-0).
