
Mildred “Millie” Lenora Hall, 92, passed away Jan. 6, 2021, at Legend of Hutchinson, Hutchinson, KS. She was born April 18, 1928, in Boise City, OK, the daughter of Walter L. and Ethel (Fry) Guin.
Millie attended the Boise City schools and graduated high school in 1946. The next year she enrolled in Northwestern State College in Alva, OK. She was a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority. During her junior year, she was talked into accepting a blind date by her roommate. His name was Don Hall and he was a college basketball player. At the end of the next year, they were married on April 9, 1946 and graduated college together. They were married for 61 years. He passed away in 2011. She taught high school business for 32 years in the Rolla and Liberal, KS. high schools. After retirement, they spent the winters in their home in Mission, TX., and summers in their home in Hutchinson.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; and her sister, Orpha Weaver.
Survivors include her children, Lary Hall and wife Debbie of Hutchinson and Montie Hall and wife, Lori of Grapevine, TX; six grandchildren, Ryan Hall and wife Laura of Overland Park, KS, Nathan Hall and wife Kristi of Wichita, KS, Kimberly Kinsella and husband Michael of Prior Lake, MN, Alex, Ivy, and Lily Hall of Grapevine, TX; and six great grandchildren, Andrew, Caroline, Olivia, Samuel, Harrison and Emerson Hall.
There will be no public visitation. A private family service will be held at11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson. Burial will take place at Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to Wesley Towers Good Samaritan Fund or Ronald McDonald House and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
