Larry ‘Lonesome’ Wayne Stewart |1952-2022|

Larry ‘Lonesome’ Wayne Stewart, 69, passed away February 13, 2022, at his home.  He was born July 7, 1952, in Hutchinson, to Willard and Alice (Wood) Stewart.

Larry attended Buhler High School.  He was employed as a heavy-duty equipment operator for the City of South Hutchinson, and drove a truck for Midwest Iron and Metal Company, Inc.

Larry enjoyed working as a fishing guide on Lake Texoma.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and supporter, and played the bass in several bands.

On July 29, 1986, Larry married Annabel Louise Brown, in South Hutchinson.  They shared over 35 years of marriage.

He is survived by:  his wife, Annabel Stewart of South Hutchinson; children, Michael Dean Stewart, and Jennifer (Gabe) Staley, both of South Hutchinson; step-children, Kylee N. Childs (Tony) Smith of Buhler, and Jake (Adrienne) Childs of Nickerson; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Terrie Wheat of North Richland Hills, TX.

Larry was preceded in death by:  his father, Willard Stewart; mother, Alice Stewart LeShure; step-father, Dale LeShure; brother, Gary Stewart; and sister, Rita Stewart Freeman.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Avenue, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jeff Arnold officiating.  Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022, through Saturday, February 19, 2022, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary.
