LINCOLN, Neb. --&nbsp;Nebraska scored nine runs over their final four innings to cruise past Wichita State 10-1 on Tuesday night at Haymarket Park. The Shockers (6-10) trailed just 1-0 into the bottom of the fifth, but the Huskers (6-8) scored three times in the fifth, once in the seventh and five times in the eighth to blow the game open. Wichita State was held to just four hits by a combination of five Nebraska pitchers and struck out 14 times. WSU starter&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/baseball/roster/jace-miner/9423" rel="smarttag" rev="9423" data-airgap-id="58">Jace Miner</a></dfn>&nbsp;(1-2) kept the Shockers within striking distance, allowing just one run through the first four innings. But a pair of WSU errors helped the Huskers strike for three runs in the fifth, capped by a two-run single from Devin Nunez that extended the Nebraska lead to 4-0. Nebraska starter Carson Jasa&nbsp;(1-1) held the Shockers scoreless over five innings, striking out eight in the process. WSU finally got on the board in the sixth against the Huskers bullpen via a solo home run from&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/baseball/roster/lane-haworth/9180" rel="smarttag" rev="9180" data-airgap-id="59">Lane Haworth</a></dfn>, cutting the deficit to 4-1. But Nebraska answered back with a Nunez RBI groundout in the bottom of the inning and then scored five runs on just a single hit in the bottom of the eighth, capitalizing on two walks and three hit by pitches. Nunez plated the final two runs of the night with a two-run single, giving him five RBI on the night. In addition to Haworth's homer, the Shockers got hits from&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/baseball/roster/jordan-rogers/9191" rel="smarttag" rev="9191" data-airgap-id="60">Jordan Rogers</a></dfn>,&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/baseball/roster/camden-johnson/9183" rel="smarttag" rev="9183" data-airgap-id="61">Camden Johnson</a></dfn>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/baseball/roster/zeb-henry/9413" rel="smarttag" rev="9413" data-airgap-id="62">Zeb Henry</a></dfn>, who recorded his first WSU hit with a third inning single. The Shockers and Huskers conclude the midweek series on Wednesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 pm CT.</div>
