

Andrew ‘Andy’ D. Shultz, 75, died Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Castleton. He was born May 14, 1945, in Hutchinson, to Harold E. and Iris (Magers) Shultz.
He was a 1963 graduate of Buhler High School, an Army veteran serving in Thailand, and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
In 1995, Andrew retired as supervisor from Dillons Bakery with 33 years of service. He continued working in heating and air conditioning for a number of years.
Woodworking was his favorite pastime; it included making countless wooden toys that were shared with many people.
In October of this year, Andrew and Paulette moved to South Hutchinson.
On November 25, 1967, he married Paulette Francis Droste, in Marienthal. Paulette, his wife of 53 years survives.
Also surviving are children, Rhonda Renken and husband Terry of Little River, and Chad and wife Jennifer of Kingman; twin brothers, Mark and wife Joanne, and Clark and wife Carolyn, all of Wichita; seven grandchildren, Tevin Renken and wife Chloe of Kansas City, MO, Mariah Buie and husband Derrike of Castleton, Melanie Renken, Mekenzie Renken, and Logan Renken of Little River, Blake Shultz and Cara Shultz of Kingman; great-granddaughter, Emerysn Buie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Karl, and Harold L. and wife Eileen; and twin sister, AnDella Showalter.
Parish rosary will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, followed by funeral mass at 11 a.m., with Father Charles Siewert officiating. Burial with military honors conducted by Ft. Riley Honor Guard will be at St. Agnes Cemetery, Castleton.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
