Raymond Cecil Chambers, 71, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at his home in Hutchinson, KS. He was born April 28, 1952, in Alva, OK, the son of Raymond and Marjorie (Rudy) Chambers. Cecil was raised by his aunt and uncle Igean and Marion Benton after his parents passed away at a young age.
Cecil graduated from Hutchinson High School. He worked in maintenance for 26 years at Carey Salt, Liberty Homes for 10 years and at Color by Design for 5 years before retiring. Cecil enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding and gardening. On January 9, 2010, he married Bonnie Collins in Hutchinson.
Cecil is preceded in death by his parents; aunt and uncle, Igean and Marion; sister, Martha Davis; brother-in-law’s, Luis Perez, Bill Collins, Michael Ray; and James Collins.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Jacob (Jinlen) Chambers, Trinity (Laura) Snow, John (Cheryl) Snow and Austin (Lexi) Snow; a sister, Kathy (Steve) Wilson; brother-in-law’s, Gary Davis and Tim Collins and companion Tina; sister-in-law’s, Terry Perez, Cris Serviss, Edda Collins, and Pam Wait; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Home Builders Building in Carey Park, Hutchinson, KS. Arrangements and care entrusted to Hutchinson Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
