Effective immediately, westbound 30th Avenue between Apple Lane and K-61 Highway is closed due to a storm pipe failure beneath the roadway. 

The closure is necessary because of the potential risk of roadway collapse. Repair work is scheduled to begin Monday, with crews working toward reopening the road before the start of the Kansas State Fair.

A signed detour will be in place. Until our official detour map is released, residents traveling westbound should use:

 Apple Lane to 17th Ave back up K-61 Highway. We appreciate your patience as crews make these necessary repairs to ensure the roadway is safe for the traveling public.
