RENO COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in Reno County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Kia Sedona driven by 44-year-old Gary Lee Narron of Hutchinson was traveling southwest on Kansas 61 one mile northeast of Turon when the Kia struck the trailer of a northeast bound 2006 Volvo semi that had drifted on the icy road into oncoming traffic.
EMS transported Narron to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. The semi driver 46-year-0ld Amir Vretenarevic of Waterloo, Iowa, was not injured.
Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
