Dwayne Elliot |1936-2021|

Cunningham - Dwayne Elliot, 85, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at Hilltop Manor in Cunningham. He was born on June 13, 1936 in Turon to Harrison and Georgia Elliot. Dwayne married Karen Laurice (Whitmore) Elliot on September 18, 1955 at Cunningham Christian Church. They were married for 66 years.

Dwayne graduated from Turon High School in 1954. He worked as a farmer, was a school bus driver for USD 332 and was the Cunningham community announcer. He enjoyed attending ball games and his grandchildrens functions, reading and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; sons, Scott (Kendra) Elliot of Pratt and Terry (Jamie) Elliot of Wichita; sisters, Ruth Barbour of California, Karol Geiger of Iowa and Mert Gowan of Oregon; grandchildren, Jason (Alisha) Elliot, Kristin Elliot, Renee Elliot, Seth Elliot, Andrew (Justine) Johns, Kaylen (Rob) Ortiz, Cooper Elliot and Easton Elliot; great-grandchildren, Jordyn Elliot, Anjelica Elliot, Jake Dwayne Elliot, Christopher Ortiz and Arya Ortiz; sister in-law, LaVelle Messerli of Newton; niece, Darcie Martin; nephews, Kirby Martin, Darin Messerli and Tom (Sue) Durall; great-nephews, Chase (Jordan) Martin and Brock Martin; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Dwayne is preceded in death by his father, Harrison Elliot; mother, Georgia Vandermay; great-grandson, Oliver "Ollie" Ortiz; brother in-law, Richard Messerli; and numerous other family members.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 1-3 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 29, 2021 at Cunningham Christian Church, Cunningham with Pastor Mike McGovney presiding. Burial will follow at Maud Cemetery, Cunningham.
