Inman made one of the biggest moves among area teams in the latest Kansas Volleyball Association rankings released Wednesday.
The Teutons jumped three spots from No. 5 to No. 2 in Class 2A after improving to 12-2. Inman trails only unbeaten Ellinwood (10-0), which remained No. 1. Moundridge (7-2) is ranked No. 6.
Several other Hutchinson-area teams remain ranked this week.
In Class 3A, Halstead (9-2) slipped one spot to No. 4, while Hesston (9-3) held at No. 6 and Cheney (13-2) remained No. 7. Silver Lake (10-2) retained the top spot, followed by unbeaten Hoisington (10-0).
McPherson (5-3) remained No. 7 in Class 4A. Bishop Miege moved from No. 4 to No. 1, followed by Hayden and Clay Center.
In Class 1A Division I, Little River (8-2) dropped two spots to No. 4. Centralia (10-0) remained No. 1, while South Gray and Goessel moved up to second and third, respectively.
Hutchinson Central Christian (9-5) moved up one position to No. 9 in Class 1A Division II. Linn (9-0) remained No. 1.
In the larger classifications, Blue Valley West remained No. 1 in Class 6A, while St. Thomas Aquinas held the top spot in Class 5A. Maize South moved up to No. 3 in 5A, Bishop Carroll climbed to No. 4 and unbeaten Great Bend slipped one position to No. 6.
The records in this week’s rankings reflect information submitted to the KVA through Monday. The association is still using classifications based on 2025-26 enrollment figures and said the rankings will be adjusted when updated classifications are released at the end of September.
