Reno County Child Care Task Force offers free training in November

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Child Care Task Force is offering two free professional development opportunities for child care providers this November, with funding support and incentives designed to strengthen the local child care workforce.

The first event is a Pediatric CPR and First Aid Training, provided by Child Care Links. This monthly session equips child care professionals with essential emergency response skills and is being offered at no cost to Reno County providers thanks to the Task Force’s support.

  1. When: Saturday, November 8, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  2. Where: Hutchinson Community College, 1300 N. Plum St., Hutchinson

The second opportunity is part of the Reno County Child Care Coalition’s ongoing monthly in-service training series, aimed at helping early childhood professionals enhance their skills and meet training requirements.

  1. What: "Constructing, Manipulating, Investigating – It’s SCIENCE and So Much More"
  2. When: Friday, November 14
  3. Where: USD 309 Administrative Building, 4501 W. 4th Ave., Hutchinson

Both sessions are open for registration at this link.  

In addition to free training, Reno County providers will earn $15 per hour for each hour of training completed, offering not only education but financial support for those investing in their professional growth.

These efforts are part of the ongoing work by the Reno County Child Care Task Force to expand and strengthen child care resources in the community.
