Edward Lee ‘Ed’ Dwyer, 87, died December 1, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born July 18, 1933, in McLean, TX, to John William and Gracie Drucilla (Durham) Dwyer.

Ed graduated from McLean High School, McLean, TX, in 1950, Texas Tech in 1953, and West Texas State in 1957 and 1961, earning his PhD. He worked for ADM Collingwood Grain as Director of Safety and Environmental Control. Ed enjoyed teaching Bible studies, reading, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Grace Bible Church, Hutchinson.

On December 23, 1997, he married Jan (Anderson) Girard, in Hutchinson.  They shared almost 23 years of marriage.

Ed is survived by wife, Jan of Hutchinson; daughters, Ann Dwyer, Cheryl Davis, Renee Barras, Debs Winfrey; sons, Greg Girard and Scott Girard; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and a son, Jim Dwyer. 

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial service will be held at a later date. Private family inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
