
Guadalupe R. “Lupe” Ochoa, 71, died Feb. 12, 2021. She was born Feb. 20, 1949, in Winslow, AZ, to Fito and Placida (Raya) Moncayo.
Lupe graduated from Winslow High School, Winslow, AZ, in 1967. She worked as a waitress for over 20 years at Anchor Inn. Lupe loved her customers, and worked until November, when she became ill. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.
Lupe married Mario Ochoa, Aug., 1985.
Lupe is survived by husband of 35 years, Mario Ochoa; children, Tammy Dixon (Jesus Aragon), Adriana Garcia (Douglas Mancia), Emiliano Pablo Raya, and Maria Ochoa (Alex Kayne); sisters, Rebecca Moncayo and Carol Moncayo; brothers, Henry Olague, Gilbert Moncayo, Phillip Moncayo, Richard Moncayo; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of customers and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, William Adrian Dixon; and a brother, Ernie Moncayo.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastors Chris Raigoza and Ryan Raigoza officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.

The family wishes to thank Lupe’s daughter, Maria, who was Lupe’s caregiver the past few months, allowing Lupe to stay in her home, until her final days. In addition, the family is grateful for the exceptional loving care Lupe’s aunt, Carmen Boshears Tenorio, provided in her own home during Lupe’s final days.
