The bid for repair on two Reno County bridges on K-61 was won by a Wichita contractor at a KDOT bid letting that took place April 20, 2022, in Topeka. This bid included multiple projects that were bundled based on proximity and type of work.

The bridges are K-61, bridge #076 over the Burlington, Northern and Santa Fe Railroad located 1.2 miles north of the east U.S. 50/K‑61 junction; and bridge #079 located 1.7 miles north of the east U.S. 50/K‑61 junction. The bid for bridge repair went to Wildcat Construction Co Inc &amp; Subsidiaries, Wichita, Kansas for $1,765,950.35.
