
UPDATE: Reno County Emergency Management Director Travis Vogt said that they responded to a call for a carbon monoxide leak with 16 employees having symptoms.
EMS evaluated the workers, and they refused treatment or transport. One worker began feeling ill the previous day and went home sick. That worker went to the emergency room this morning to be evaluated because he was still feeling ill.
The fire department found low levels of carbon monoxide in the warehouse, but they were unable to identify the source.
Straightline industries is contacting a contractor to locate the source of the carbon monoxide.
YODER, Kan (Hutch Post) — Hutch Post has learned that Reno County EMS is on the scene of an incident in the 1800 block of East Wasp Road. This is at the Hutchinson Naval Station site south of Hutchinson.
Reno County Dispatch confirms that there are multiple patients but would not confirm what the situation was.
