Police: $9,000 in purchases made with fraud financial card

MANHATTAN—Law enforcement authorities are investigating alleged fraud in Manhattan.

Just before 5:30p.m. Friday, officers filed a report for making false information and criminal use of a financial card in the 100 block of Manhattan Town Center, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

Banter by Piercing Pagoda in the mall reported two unknown female suspects used a fraudulent financial card to purchase multiple jewelry items.

The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $9,142.

Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
