HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council will continue work on the 2021 budget Wednesday. The meeting will go over a long list of cuts that could be part of next year’s budget.

“We anticipate delivering sufficient budget cuts to get the budget to where the governing body anticipated it being,” City Manager Jeff Cantrell said. “So that’s going to involve some project cuts, some positions remaining vacant, and some decision packages that come along with that.”

Wednesday’s meeting begins at 3 p.m. but the Hutchinson City Offices will be closed to the public. The meeting can be viewed on the city Facebook page, YouTube or the city cable channel 7.
