
Daniel Lee Mount, 64, of Hutchinson, died December 1, 2020, at his home. He was born November 20, 1956, in Denver, Colorado, Bruce William and Lois (Whitney) Mount.
Dan graduated from Elizabeth High School, in Colorado, in 1975. Over the years he worked as a dairy farmer, water distribution manager, and a pastor. Dan was involved in 4-H, the Zoning Board of Marion County, and the Ellsworth County Fair Board. He served as a deacon at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, pastor at CrossPoint Lindsborg, and as a small group and grow group leader. Dan loved to love people. Dan was a member of CrossPoint Church.
On March 19, 1977, in Elizabeth, Colorado, he married June Kobilan. They shared 43 years of marriage together.
Dan is survived by wife, June Mount, Hutchinson; daughters, Amanda (Robert) McKinson, Winfield, Ashley (Dustin) Jost, Hillsboro, Cheri (Tyler) Weinbrenner, Inman, Katie Mount, Chonburi, Thailand; brothers, Ron (Allison) Mount, Brush, Colorado, Tom (Yvette) Mount, Aurora, Colorado; and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Celebration of Life will be at Crosspoint Church in Hutchinson, KS on December 6, at 2 p.m. Masks and social distancing will be practiced. We are looking forward to celebrating Dan’s life with all of our friends and family who are able to join us.
