🏀 NBA’s Dean Wade to host free youth basketball camp at Nickerson High School

NICKERSON, Kan. — Cleveland Cavaliers forward Dean Wade will host a free youth basketball camp Saturday, July 25 at Nickerson High School.

Online registration opens Friday, June 12, with space limited to 75 participants in each of two sessions.

The first session is for students entering grades 3-5. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m., with the camp running from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

The second session is for students entering grades 6-8. Check-in begins at 12:30 p.m., with the camp scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m.

Registration will be available online at deanwade26.eventbrite.com.

Wade, a St. John High School standout, played collegiately at Kansas State before beginning his NBA career with Cleveland during the 2019-20 season. The 6-foot-9 forward appeared in 59 games for the Cavaliers during the 2025-26 regular season, averaging 5.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

Wade also has a local connection to USD 309 Nickerson-South Hutchinson. His mother, Trish Wade, is the Nickerson High School volleyball coach.
