HUTCHINSON, Kan. — John Cukjati, Senior Field Technician in the Kansas Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Traffic Engineering, has achieved a career milestone and is celebrating 25 years of valued service to the State of Kansas.
He started at KDOT in the Olathe Construction Office in 1999, then moved to Traffic Engineering in 2001 and works to collect traffic field data. The data is used to determine signal light timings, intersection needs, possible speed limit adjustments and pedestrian crossing needs.
Cukjati is a member of ITS Heartland and assists other bureaus with special projects that require traffic data.
He and his wife, Rebecca, have four children and live in Hutchinson.
