HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Several Hutchinson-area businesses are stepping up to help push Project Concern toward a strong finish, offering a combined $2,000 in matching funds for all donations made today.
Stainless Systems, Sutton Electric and Red Rock Contracting committed the first round of matching dollars, and K&H Hauling & Contracting joined later to raise the total match to $2,000. With the community’s participation, KWBW's Rob Dreher says Project Concern has a chance to turn today’s donations into $4,000.
The annual Project Concern campaign, now in its 32nd year, is hosted by KWBW Radio and helps fund Thanksgiving meals for local families in need. The drive runs through the Monday, Nov. 24, with donations accepted at the EAGLE Media studios at 825 N. Main St. between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Cash or check donations are required.
Last year, Project Concern raised $11,643 and assisted 752 families—more than 2,600 people—with holiday meals. A portion of this year’s contributions will again support Friendship Meals and the Christian Soup Ministry.
