Kansas man hospitalized after head-on crash with a semi

RENO COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 3p.m. Monday in Reno County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Lexus E7 driven by Gregory Lynn  Baker, 69, Wichita, was southbound on Kansas 14 one mile north of Hutchinson.

The car crossed the center line and struck a 2024 Kenworth semi driven by Troy Edward Myers, 52, Andover, head-on.

EMS transported Baker to Ascension Via Christi St Francis. Myers was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.

The crash temporarily closed K-14 between Wilson Road and 4th Avenue.

The Reno County Sheriff's Office and Kansas Highway Patrol are on the scene of an injury accident on K-14. 

They say that the highway is closed between Wilson Road and Fourth Avenue and will be for an undetermined period of time.
