Durham - Gaylord William Hamm, 98, died June 10, 2021 at Hillsboro Community Hospital in Hillsboro. He was born September 23, 1922 North of Durham on the Family Farm to William and Leah (Schuber) Hamm. He married Valera Graves October 1, 1948 in Florence. He was a Farmer / Rancher and drove school bus for many years.
Survivors include: wife, Valera Hamm of Durham; son, James Gaylord (Myrna) Hamm of rural Tampa; daughters, Bonnie Jean (Larry) Winter of Silver Lake, Barbara Fay (Ron) Williams of Glenpool, Oklahoma; brother, Gus (Mildred) Hamm of Hillsboro; sisters, Arlene Pankratz of Hillsboro, Marcella Mohn of Hillsboro; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.
Celebration of Life service 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2021 at Durham Baptist Church in Durham officiated by Pastor Curtis Wiens. Interment in Durham Park cemetery rural Durham. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
