RENO COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 6p.m. Friday in Reno County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Tompkins II, Nicolas V. Tompkins II, 45, Cookeville, TN., was southbound on Kansas 14 two miles south of Sterling at a high rate of speed.
The car traveled left of center and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle entered the west ditch and struck an embankment.
EMS transported Tompkins to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
