Dalline Sullivan, 84, of Arlington, went to be with the Lord Jesus March 8, 2022. She was born January 15, 1938 in Hutchinson. She graduated from Hays High School in 1956.
She was a cosmetologist her entire life until retirement only a few years ago. During her younger years, she was co-owner and manager of Sydney’s Beauty College in Hays. Following that, she owned and operated salons in Hays, Pratt, and Arlington.
Dalline was a member of city council in Arlington, as well as serving as mayor for a few years. She was involved with the housing authority and the senior center.
She loved to garden, and was always considered the green thumb of the family. Hobbies also included crocheting and making floral arrangements.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Ernestine Sullivan. Dalline is survived by her children, Lynnette Froome (John) of Salina; Kyle Unruh (Patricia) of Buhler; grandchildren Brandy Coker (Tony) of Hesston; Sara Howard (Casey) of Buhler; Vince Froome of Minneapolis; Dallas Froome of Salina and Peyton Froome of Salina; great-grandchildren Aziza, Aidan, Codi, Thayne and Jovey; brothers Duane Sullivan of Arlington, Danny Sullivan (Gail) of Great Bend and sister Deanna Mick of Hutchinson. Family was the most important thing to Dalline. She will be missed dearly by family and friends.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary, with the Reverend Robbie Fall officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery, Arlington. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, at Elliott Mortuary.
