Juan Parra, 78, of Hutchinson, died  September 3, 2020, at home. He was born July 24, 1942, in San Juanito, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Juan and Esperansa (Heredia) Parra.

Before retirement, he worked in construction and mechanics. Juan loved cars and mechanics, as well as Mexican dancing. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.

In May 1971, Juan married Pabla Estrada, in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico. They shared 50 years of marriage together.

He is survived by wife, Pabla Parra, Hutchinson; daughters, Irma (Manuel) Andrade, Adela (Ruben) Gomez, Maria (Julio) Martinez, Josefina (Felix) Padilla, Rosy (Alonso) Villagomez, all of Hutchinson, and  Anamaria Parra, Mexico; sons, Carlos (Veronica) Estrada, Wichita, Juan R. Parra, Hutchinson, and Jose Luis Parra, Mexico; 30 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Manuela Gonzalez, Mexico; and brother, Francisco Parra, Mexico.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marisela Gonzalez; and sisters, Adela Gonzalez and Maria Luisa Parra.

Parish Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple Street, South Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2020, at the church. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may call from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
