

Ronald Dale Johnson, 77, passed away Feb. 3, 2021, at his residence. He was born Oct. 14, 1943, in Pelican Rapids, MN, to Morgan Clayton and Myrtle Lillian (Satter) Johnson.
Ronald served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a self-employed carpenter building homes in California, and in the Maintenance Department at Laramie County Community College, Laramie, WY. Ronald and his wife also served as house parents at the Cathedral Home (a home for children), Laramie, WY. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and singing karaoke.
Ronald married Merilene Iris Gibson.
He is survived by his adopted son, Shaun Johnson of Cheyenne, WY; stepdaughter, Ginger Lubbers of Arizona; stepson, Ronnie (Virgene) Peters of California; stepgranddaughter, Rebecca Lubbers; siblings, Sharon (Bruce) Coburn of Indiana, and Roger (Beverly) Johnson of Hutchinson; and nieces and nephews, Dr. Rogena (Scott Rooks) Johnson, Jason Morgan Johnson, Dawn Stone, Brittany Coburn Runkles, Tyler Coburn, Stephanie Taylor, Holly Gonzales, LeWayne (Thoa) Saunders, Michael Saunders, and Bethany Johnson.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; wife; siblings, Jerome Johnson, Darlene Saunders, Orland Johnson, and Larry Johnson; and nephew, Jamie Coburn.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life gathering will be scheduled at a future date.
