HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County is another step closer to having a new Health Department director.
According to Reno County Human Resources Director Renee Harris, five candidates were given online interviews this month. Out of those five, two finalists have been selected. Those finalists will have another interview before the county and a community panel on Oct. 30.
Harris says they hope to have a candidate for the County Commission to consider during the first meeting in November.
The names of the finalists were not disclosed, but Harris did say one candidate was local and one was from outside Reno County.
The new director will replace Nick Baldetti, who recently resigned to take a new position at McPherson College.
