HAYSVILLE, Kan. — The Hutchinson Salthawks cruised to a 50-0 victory over the Campus Colts on Friday at Colt Stadium.
Hutchinson scored five touchdowns in the first quarter to set the pace for the remainder of the contest. Both coaches agreed he to go with a running clock midway through the second quarter for the rest of the game.
The Salthawks tacked on another touchdown in the second and fourth quarters to put the finishing touches on the win.
Hutch High's defense was outstanding only allowing 13 total yards of offense in 33 offensive plays.
The Salthawks gained 346 total yards on 40 offensive plays.
Max Harris led Hutchinson in rushing with 64 yards on 14 carries including a one yard run for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to top off the Hutchinson scoring.
Hutchinson (4-2) now returns home next Friday night to host Newton (0-6).
