IRVING, Tx.— Quarterback Jalon Daniels earned Kansas' first Walter Camp Football Foundation National Player of the Week after leading the Jayhawks to a  48-30 win at Houston.

The senior accounted for 281 yards (158 passing, 123 rushing) and five touchdowns. Daniels completed 14-of-23 passes and three touchdowns, while rushing for two more scores as the Jayhawks improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2009. Kansas, which overcame a 14-point first-half deficit in the victory, has won back-to-back road games for the first time since 2007. The team will face undefeated Duke in its final non-conference outing Saturday in Lawrence.
