GEARY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 10p.m. Wednesday in Geary County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Chevy Equinox driven by Joshua Mercer, 26, Newton, was southbound on U.S. 77 just north of Lyon Creek Road. The SUV left the roadway to the west, continued southbound in the ditch where it came to rest.
EMS transported Mercer Stormont Vail Health Flint Hills in Junction City. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
