Advance voting for the City of Hutchinson’s sales tax special election begins today.
Voters may cast advance ballots Monday through Friday of this week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the conference room at the Reno County Annex. An additional advance voting opportunity will be available next Monday, March 2, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Mail ballots have already been sent to voters who requested them. However, due to changes in state law, advance mail ballots must now be received by the Reno County Election Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day. The previous three-day grace period for mail ballot returns is no longer in effect.
Voters who wish to return their completed mail ballots in person may use the secure ballot drop-off box located in front of the Reno County Annex.
The special election is Tuesday, March 3.
