HARVEY COUNTY —Authorities are investigating the cause of a fatal fire in Newton.

Just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, fire crews responded to a house fire in the 800 block of North Walnut, according to a social media report from&nbsp;Newton Fire and EMS.

The fire was brought under control quickly. Investigators found the body of a man deceased inside. 

&nbsp;The State Fire Marshal’s Office has been requested to help with the investigation.&nbsp; Authorities released no additional details.
