
ELLSWORTH COUNTY —The search for two bodies after a boating incident at Kanopolis Reservoir is over.
According to a social media report from the Ellsworth County Sheriff's office both bodies have now been recovered.
According to Ellsworth County Sheriff Kenny Bernard, at 7p.m. on Thursday, Ellsworth County dispatch reported three people went missing after being on a boat at the lake. A 14-year old girl was recovered by an individual in the area and was taken for treatment.
According to Bernard, a 40-year old man and a 14-year old girl were the two missing.
The sheriff's office wrote on Saturday afternoon, "Our heartfelt condolences go out to all of the victim's, their family and friends. Many Many thanks go out to all of the assisting agencies who came running including all of the First Responders, Area Dive Teams and other Volunteers who have given so much of themselves and their time."

According to Ellsworth County Sheriff Kenny Bernard, at around 7:15-7:30pm on Thursday, Ellsworth County dispatch reported three people who went missing after being on a boat at the lake.
A 14-year old girl was recovered by an individual in the area and was taken for treatment.
According to Sheriff Bernard, a 40-year old man and a 14-year old girl are the two who are still reportedly missing.

Multiple agencies including the Rice County Sheriff's Office, Ellsworth County Sheriff's Office, Marquette County Sheriff's Office, Marquette Fire Department, Ellsworth Fire Department and Law Enforcement Dive Teams from Salina and the Kansas Game Wardens were assisting with the investigating at the scene.
Sheila Watkins a resident of Salina who was at the scene after the report, commented on the investigation. "It is scary and sad," said Watkins. "I am hoping for the best possible scenario and I am just praying for the families."
