Gene L. Goucher, 63, of Galva, Kansas, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at Newton Medical Center, Newton, Kansas. He was born September 2, 1958 in McMinnville, Oregon, the son of Tom G. and Mary Lou (Shearon) Goucher.
He operated Gene’s Mower Service. Gene was a truck driver and was the owner and operator of G & R Trucking of Galva. He was a member of Lone Tree Mennonite Church in Galva.
Gene was united in marriage to Ruby Becker on June 12, 1977 at Lone Tree Church in Galva. She survives.
He is also survived by his mother, Mary Lou Goucher of Galva; daughters, Robin Unruh (Jed) of Las Vegas, New Mexico, Julie Goucher of Galva, and Tammy Ratzlaff (Tim) of Moundridge; brothers, Ed Goucher (Brenda) of Texhoma, Oklahoma, and Jesse Goucher (Carolyn) of Murray, Kentucky; and eight grandchildren.
Gene was preceded in death by his father; infant son, Wendell Goucher; and father and mother-in-law, Jake and Julia (Koehn) Becker.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Lone Tree Mennonite Church, Galva. Burial will take place following the service in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 to 5 p.m., Monday, October 25, 2021 at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8 p.m. at the church.
